Chad Davis: Paramedic Turned Author

Chad never set out to be a writer, but writing was a productive outlet which helped him work through some of the most difficult times in his life. After 20 years in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Industry and the untimely death of his second child, Chad was feeling the strain of burnout, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. Spurred by apathetic leadership and an ever-growing epidemic of public safety and service member suicide and mental fitness strain, he became acutely aware of the necessity of bringing these issues to light. Thus, his debut memoir, "Burnt Out: A Paramedic's Memoir" was born. Now a Captain with a rescue squad in Vermont and passion firmly entrenched in changing the leadership approach to mental fitness in public safety, he dedicates his life to serving those who serve others.
